However, there was nothing under the Christmas tree. Ella felt so sad that she started to cry. She thought that Santa forgot to give her the gift. All of a sudden, the light was turned on. “Surprise!” Ella’s mom, dad and grandma said. They got up earlier than Ella and they hid behind the tree. They gave her the gift and told her that Santa gave her that because she was such a good girl. It was a pair of ballet shoes that Ella always wanted. That was the most exciting morning ever!
