She is a graduate of Stanford University,where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A.in Political Science,and Yale Law School.She has extensive teaching experience.After college she lived in Yangon,Myanmar,where she worked at the Yangon School of Political Science.There she designed and led a variety of workshops on fundamental topics in Political Science.When she returned to the United States,while working at a non-profit organization in New York City,she spent her weekends teaching SAT preparatory courses with The Princeton Review.
As a law student at Yale,she had the opportunity to develop her teaching skills further by serving as a Teaching Fellow for several undergraduate courses at Yale College,including courses in Political Science,Environmental Studies,and Film Studies.She led weekly discussion sections to review major topics from lecture and engage students in discussions of the course material.She also worked one-on-one with students to develop paper ideas and arguments,and she provided students with extensive feedback on written work.
