I am recent graduate of the University of Cambridge(St John's College)with an excellent record in my academics.Having completed one year of mathematics,I am now reading economics at the University of Cambridge.
At school,I was the chair of my school mathematics society.I have competed in several mathematics team competitions,as well as performing well individually(gaining a gold in the UKMT maths challenge every year, and qualifying for the Olympiad in my last four years and consequently achieving two distinctions). My performance led me to be invited to a UKMT day at the Royal Institution.
My past tutees have all gained the highest grade in their exams after having lessons with me,and I believe that my success in helping my students stems from the fact that I am able to relate to them as I have sat through several 11 plus, scholarship,GCSE,A Level and university entrance exams.I have over 500 hours of experience of one-to-one mathematics tuition and tailor each of my lessons to the tutee, ensuring that the foundation of their knowledge is solid and challenging them according to their abilities.
I am a determined and hardworking individual, constantly driven by quality and integrity.Through my positions of responsibility,I understand the invariable importance of remaining highly organised.Outside my compulsory education,I have strived to expose myself to opportunities in which I can further develop my teaching and have had tutoring experience within school and outside of school.I have also attending teaching courses, such as the Princes Teaching Institute Mathematics Residential. My passion for mathematics coupled with my interest in education and consideration for others is what makes me eager to tutor and share my knowledge with others.
In my spare time,I enjoy running and swimming,as well as playing the Carnatic flute.
