Hello!I love old books. In high school,I spent my spare time reading a fifty volume anthology of the Western canon. Then,I graduated magna cum laude from Harvard with a joint concentration in philosophy and the classics as well as an English secondary, and I recently earned a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Johns Hopkins. While my studies have ranged across all the humanities, they are centered on my passion for the English language and the great books of the Western tradition.
I currently teach writing as an adjunct at Johns Hopkins, where I have received excellent course reviews from students and designed my own course on poetry. In college,I worked as a tutor for the Harvard Summer School, providing one-on-one academic assistance to high school students, including many
international students,in subjects such as writing, logic,Ancient Greek, and Latin. As an alumnus of Harvard,I have served as an admissions interviewer.I also have read applications for the Telluride Association Summer Program,a pre-college humanities program which I attended in 2013;of the 32 of us at the program, four of us went on to Harvard, six to Yale.
Reading, writing, and learning have been my joy and my work for years now.Whether you are looking for a teacher, tutor,or admissions consultant,I am eager to help you further your education.
